Dover Learning Center – School-Age Programs

At Dover Learning Center, our School-Age Programs are designed for children ages 5-12 (Grades 1-6). Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where school-age children can continue to learn, explore, and grow outside of regular school hours.

We offer a variety of flexible programming options, including Before and After School Care, School Break Care, and Summer Camp, all guided by experienced educators who focus on each child's individual needs. Our programs combine fun, creativity, and skill-building activities to help children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Before and After School Care

Our Before and After School Care programs give children the opportunity to connect with friends, engage in creative activities, and receive academic support when needed. Children can enjoy:

• Quiet time for homework or reading
• Arts, crafts, drama, and imaginative play
• Group games and physical activities to stay active
• Opportunities for problem-solving and teamwork

Drop-off and pick-up are flexible to fit the needs of families, with hours tailored to support busy mornings and afternoons.

School Break Care

Dover Learning Center provides care for children during school breaks and professional development days, including Spring Break, Winter Holidays, and other scheduled breaks. Our School Break Programs give children a safe and stimulating space to explore new activities, make friends, and stay active while school is out.

Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp program offers a fun and enriching environment where children can discover new interests, develop new skills, and enjoy outdoor adventures. Camp activities include arts and crafts, sports, STEM challenges, nature exploration, and team-building games, all designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Nutrition and Care

We provide healthy snacks and meals, along with supervised activities that encourage children to make good choices and stay engaged throughout the day. Our educators foster a welcoming environment where children feel supported, respected, and inspired to participate fully in all activities.

Partnering With Families

Communication with parents is a priority. Families receive updates on their child's activities, achievements, and milestones, helping maintain a strong connection between home and program experiences.
